Where to Watch Your Favorite NFL Team in the Phoenix Area

The Valley’s Best Football Bars for Transplants, Die Hard Fans and Anyone Who Misses Home on Sundays

Arizona may technically be Cardinals country, but anyone who lives here knows football Sundays tell a very different story.

Arizona is such a transplant state. People move here from Chicago, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Philadelphia, Minnesota, Denver and everywhere in between, but they usually bring one very important thing with them: their football team.

And depending on the season, the Cardinals have not exactly made it easy to give up the team you grew up loving.

Last weekend I drove 45 minutes up to Cave Creek to watch football and honestly, it was a blast.

Each bar felt like its own little stadium. Walk a few hundred feet and suddenly you are surrounded by different jerseys, different chants and a completely different crowd.

At The Roadhouse, it was a full Chicago Bears takeover. After a big play, the regular music stopped and the Bears song came blasting through the bar. Everyone was on their feet and for a few minutes it felt like someone had dropped a little piece of Chicago right into the Arizona desert.

Across the street, Steelers fans were waving Terrible Towels. A little farther down Cave Creek Road, Packers fans were gathering in green and gold.

It got me thinking.

If you live in the Phoenix area and still cheer for your hometown team, where should you watch the game?

Here are a few places around the Valley where you can find your football people.

CAVE CREEK

Cave Creek might be one of the best destinations in the Valley for NFL Sundays because you can find several major fan bases within just a few minutes of each other.

🐻 Chicago Bears

The Roadhouse📍 6900 E Cave Creek Road

If you are a Bears fan, this one is worth the drive.

Chicago jerseys fill the bar and after a big play, the Bears song comes blasting through the speakers.

This was the stop that inspired this whole blog for me. It does not feel like a sports bar that happens to have the Bears on television. It feels like you are actually watching the game with Bears fans.

🖤💛 Pittsburgh Steelers

Harold’s Cave Creek Corral📍 6895 E Cave Creek Road

Welcome to what Steelers fans call Heinz Field West.

Black and gold takes over Harold’s on game day with Steelers jerseys, Terrible Towels and a crowd that has been showing up here for years.

If you want a true fan club atmosphere, this is one of the best football experiences in Arizona.

💚💛 Green Bay Packers

Buffalo Chip Saloon📍 6823 E Cave Creek Road

Only in Arizona can cowboy boots and cheeseheads make perfect sense together.

Buffalo Chip has a long history with Green Bay fans and brings together Packers football with one of Cave Creek’s most recognizable Western bars.

Grab some barbecue, throw on your green and gold and settle in.

SCOTTSDALE

🦅 Philadelphia Eagles

Rockbar📍 4245 N Craftsman Court, Old Town Scottsdale

Birds fans have definitely found a home in Old Town.

Rockbar is known as a gathering place for the Eagles West fan club and fills up with green jerseys on game days.

Expect a loud crowd, plenty of TVs and lots of Philly energy.

💚💛 Green Bay Packers

Loco Patrón Mexican Brewery📍 14950 N Northsight Boulevard

If Cave Creek feels a little too far, Packers fans have another option in North Scottsdale.

Loco Patrón is home to Lambeau Field West, where Arizona Cheeseheads gather for Packers games.

There are plenty of TVs, indoor and outdoor seating, Packers music and lots of green and gold.

Plus, margaritas instead of beer brats never hurt.

🧡💙 Denver Broncos

Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row📍 4420 N Saddlebag Trail, Old Town Scottsdale

Broncos Country has claimed a little piece of Old Town.

Whiskey Row hosts Broncos watch parties with game sound, food, drinks and plenty of blue and orange.

This is definitely one of the livelier options on the list.

Watch football during the game, then stay for Scottsdale nightlife afterward.

❤️💛 San Francisco 49ers

K O’Donnell’s Sports Bar & Grill📍 14850 N Northsight Boulevard

K O’Donnell’s has long been a popular gathering spot for 49ers fans, but it is also a great choice when everyone in your group cheers for a different team.

With TVs everywhere, you have a pretty good chance of finding your game.

Think of this one as neutral football territory when your friend group cannot agree on a team.

TEMPE

💜💛 Minnesota Vikings

Four Peaks Brewing Company📍 1340 E 8th Street

Four Peaks has been a popular gathering place for Minnesota Vikings fans in Tempe.

The original 8th Street brewery has plenty of TVs, craft beer and a classic Tempe atmosphere that already feels made for football Sundays.

Throw on the purple and gold and get ready for the SKOL chants.

PHOENIX

🔵⚪ Indianapolis Colts

The Attic Ale House📍 4247 E Indian School Road

Colts fans can gather at The Attic Ale House in Phoenix, home to the local 602 Colts Crew.

It is an upstairs neighborhood spot with plenty of TVs, craft beer, burgers and Camelback Mountain views from the patio.

Not a bad little piece of Indianapolis in the desert.

GILBERT

🏈 Football Fans of Every Team

O.H.S.O. Brewery + Distillery at The Park📍 335 N Gilbert Road

For East Valley football fans, The Park at O.H.S.O. in Downtown Gilbert deserves a category of its own.

The huge outdoor space has a massive screen for sports, lawn seating, games, an arcade area and even a dog park.

You can grab an Adirondack chair on the lawn or reserve one of the cabanas with its own TVs for a private viewing party.

This is an especially good option when your group cheers for several different teams, or when some people want football while others are mainly there for food, drinks and sunshine.

Football Sundays Feel a Little Different in Arizona

One of the things I love about living in the Valley is that almost everyone came here from somewhere else.

On any given Sunday you can find Chicago in Cave Creek, Philadelphia in Scottsdale, Minnesota in Tempe, Indianapolis in Phoenix and Green Bay somehow existing simultaneously inside a Mexican brewery and a cowboy saloon.

Whether you are cheering for the Cardinals or still proudly representing the team you grew up with, there is probably a bar somewhere in the Valley where your jersey feels right at home.

So throw it on, grab some friends and go find your crowd.

Football watch parties and team affiliations can change throughout the season, so I always recommend checking the bar’s social media or calling before heading out for a specific game.
