Christmas Tree – Drop Off Locations in Maricopa County

Maricopa County residents have several options for recycling their Christmas trees and wreaths this year.

Cities offering drop-off spots ask that residents:

Bring only live trees and wreaths, not plastic trees and wreaths.Bring the tree and wreath un-bagged.Remove all decorations, lights and tinsel.Remove the tree stand and all nails/metal stakes.

Here’s a list of some of the drop-off locations available.

The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that Americans generate 25% more waste during the holidays, an additional one million tons per week.

Donating your tree will help Gilbert reduce the amount of waste we generate over the holidays.


Chandler

Drop-off is available through Jan. 14.

Curbside pickup is available for $25. Call 480-644-6789 for more details or to schedule a pickup time. Trees collected curbside will not be recycled.


Phoenix

Drop-off is available through Jan. 8.

A to Z Equipment Rental locations at 4050 E. Indian School Road and 15634 N. 32nd St. also offer drop-off, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5. The business is closed on Jan. 1.

Tempe

Drop-off is available through Jan. 30 at the Compost/Inert Facility at 1001 N. Rio Road in Tempe. Access the site at the intersection of Hardy Drive and Rio Salado Parkway.

Curbside collection is available for residents during bulk/uncontained collection. Residents should place the tree in their green organics pile.
